Larry Day
Wagener - Funeral Services for Larry James Day, 62, of Wagener, SC will be held three p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with Pastor Ron Lee officiating; burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the funeral home. Larry passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. Memorials may be made in Larry's memory to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853.
Born in Aiken County he was a son of James and Gladys Waters Day. He was a self-employed construction worker, loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved hunting and fishing. Larry was a God fearing man, a hard-working man, never met a stranger and enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show. He was a member of Earl Church of God.
Survivors include his loving wife Rebecca Preal Lee Haynes Day; sons Larry B. Day, James M. Day, Jimmy L. Day and Jessie D. Day all of Wagener; granddaughter Destiny Katherine Day; sisters Sara and Helen; brother Matthew Day; mother-in-law Julia Williams Wagner; brother-in-law Heath (Alica) Haynes; a special niece and nephew they adopted as their own Angel and Bishop Haynes and their daughter Athena Jo Haynes; great-nephews Conor Haynes, Benjamin Robinson, Jr., and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews; dear friends Ronnie Jackson, Buck and Lila Key, Joe Snipes, Buster Leon Key and his daughters Valeria and Stella.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Kathie Anglee Mitchell Day; brother-in-law Donald E. Haynes; dear friends Tammy Key and Amber Scruggs; a sister-in-law, Margaret Robinson and his 1st mother and father-in-law, Benjamin and Catherine Mitchell.
