Kora Ison Obituary
Augusta, GA - Kora Lea Ison, age 70 of Aiken, SC entered into rest on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at University Hospital in Augusta. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Ison; parents, Willie and Bessie Gordon Beard; siblings Jeanette Beard Black; Karen Beard Wood, Ruth Beard Holcombe and Wayne Miles Beard. Survivors are children, Cindy Lea (Stephen) Boles, Aiken; Dwayne K. Newman, Aiken; Tammie Suzette Newman, Columbia; Sharon Julie Ison (Richard) Heath, Aiken; Jennifer Ison Scott, Aiken; Larry (Rhonda) Newman, Graniteville; Renee Newman (Jimmy) Loren, Graniteville; Kathy Ison (David) Young, Aiken; Donna Ison Johnson, Lexington; siblings, Franklin (Nancy) Beard; Jewel Beard Zorn; Nancy Beard Crumpton, Kathy Beard Courtney; 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Matlock Baptist Church, 980 Main Street, Jackson, SC 29831. Rev. Trevor Burrows, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m prior to the service at the church.
