Kathy Jones Obituary
GRIFFIN, GA - Kathy Turner Jones passed away peacefully on Tuesday at her home in Griffin. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her two sons Billy Beheler and Danny Beheler Jr., her daughter in law Stacey Beheler, Her two siblings Lewis and Ida, the father of her two sons Danny Beheler Sr., and 5 grandsons...Maddux, Tristan, Gage, Garrett and Jack.
Born Kathy Sue Turner in Aiken South Carolina on October 10th, 1951, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of Essie Lafoy Turner and Lewis Jessie Turner. During the 1960's she was active in the Go-Go and Carolina Shag music and dance scenes. She adored Motown and Doo-Wop music and into her 70's could dance circles around anyone old or young. Her lifelong favorite song was the 1964 Drifters single Under The BoardWalk.
She moved to Griffin in the 1980's and became an active member of the Griffin Garden Club and worked as a freelance hairdresser. Kathy was known for her beautiful decorating, wonderful southern cooking, and endless creative spirit. She could not only tackle any project she desired but do it exceptionally well. Whether it be upholstery, floral arranging, painting or sewing...Kathy could do it. She married her beloved husband David Paul Jones in 2006 and remained with him until his passing in 2021.
Whether you were her family, a close friend, or someone she met in passing, she left an impression on everyone she encountered. She was beautiful, vibrant and lit up every room she was in with her presence. She will forever remain a true southern belle through and through.
While gone physically her stories and spirit will remain with her friends and family for generations to come.
There will never be another Kathy Sue...
A graveside service for Kathy Sue Jones will be Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Westwood Gardens. Pastor Buren Goss will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eagles Way Church, 100 Hudson Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224 in memory of Kathy Sue.
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home 1891 W. McIntosh Road is in charge of arrangements.

I will always remember Kathy. She and I loved so many things! I remember her well. She loved to dance! She and I ran into each other at Myrtle Beach! I was not supposed to be there and should have been on my way home! I took chances and so did she! We were "double trouble! I will always hold her in my heart! I am sending prayers and love to her family. My heart is sad.
