June Eubanks Obituary

June Eubanks
September 13, 1926 - January 9, 2015
Resident of Danville
Lila "June" Eubanks passed from this world on January 9, 2015 at the age of 88, succumbing to complications from multiple health problems. June was born in Orlando, Florida, to parents Herman and Lyda Eubanks.
June met the love of her life, Stanley Stolarski, who served courageously in the US Navy during WWII and earned the Air Medal as well as the Distinguished Flying Cross. Stan and June were married in 1947 and Stan took the Eubanks surname, something considered unusual at the time. However, he had three brothers to carry on his family name, while June had two sisters who had already married and taken their husbands' surnames. After residing in Florida, South Carolina and Colorado, Stan, June and their two children David and Kathleene eventually settled in Danville, CA in 1974. June became a legal secretary and worked full-time until the age of 75; she often joked that she was the oldest legal secretary in Contra Costa County.
Despite Stan's death in 1986, June prospered and found great comfort and delight in her friends and grandchildren. She loved Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and vacationed there frequently with her family.
June was predeceased by her parents, sisters Helen and Kathleene, and most cherished husband Stan. She leaves behind her devoted children David (Elizabeth) of Bozeman, Montana, Kathleene of Concord, California and loving grandchildren Kara (Nichole) of Concord, California, and Maxwell and Madison of Bozeman, Montana. The family would like to thank the staff of Trinity Care Home in Danville for the loving care they provided to June as she transitioned from this world to the next. In accordance with June's wishes there will be no formal services; the family will have a private remembrance at a later date. She was a great Lady.

Your Mom was a special lady. She was always warm and friendly. She always waved as she drove out of the court.

June,
I am blessed to count you among my friends. During our years at the Law Firm, you were both friend and mentor; outside the office, my dear sweet friend. I won't be able to eat at El Nido or Round Table and not think of you; those memories precious. Rest in peace my sweet dear friend. My condolences to Kathy, David, Cara, Max and Madison. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

June was such a wonderful woman and the unofficial Matriarch of the law firm. Those of us who were lucky enough to have worked with her, enjoyed her Southern charm and wisdom. My condolences to the family. -Mary Holz-

June, I will miss your many years of friendship, especially the dry wit! We shared many a good laugh back at the office and also shared many a good lunch! Now you are blessed with time to once again share with your beloved Stan.
