June Mixon Dix
AIKEN - Ms. June Mixon Dix, 83, widow of Charley Murphey and Willis Dix, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at her home.
A Daughter of the late Rickard Mixon and Geneva Smith, she was born in Lake City FL and remained there until moving to Aiken in 1998. Ms. Dix was a proud homemaker and a talented baker. She was very involved with her church family at Eastside Baptist Church. She loved her children and loved spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her daughters; Karen Ziller of Deland FL and Patricia Murphey Webb (Jeff) of Nashville TN. Ms. Dix is also survived by her four grandchildren; Jeffry Purdy, Jennifer Purdy, Dorian Webb and Sophia Webb as well as one great grandchild Tyler Rosenbaum. She was predeceased by a two brothers; Richard Mixon and Glen Mixon.
A memorial service will be held at The GEORGE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, located at 211 Park Avenue SW, Aiken SC at 11 A.M. on Saturday August 2, 2014 with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
