Julia Simpkins Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mrs. Julia McCain Simpkins who entered into rest on June 25, 2025 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of the late Deacon Willie K. McCain and Henrietta Morgan McCain, born in Edgefield County, South Carolina. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Ministry in Brooklyn, New York and a former member of Carey Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Simpkins; two grandchildren, Wanda Studevant and Steven Simpkins; six great grandchildren; a niece and nephew raised in the home, Linda Collier and Dyral Collier; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2030 Decatur Street, Brooklyn, NY with Pastor Sean Lee officiating.
