Batesburg - Judson "Jud" Irvin Hall, Jr., 93, of Batesburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 4, 1932, in Aiken County to the late Judson Irvin Hall, Sr. and Lettie Sarah Kneece Hall. Mr. Hall was a faithful member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his five children, eleven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War and retired from the Savannah River Plant DuPont after 35 years of dedicated service as an E&I mechanic.

He is survived by his children, Pamela Berry (Heyward), Joey Hall (Melanie), Patty Mappus (Teddy), Steve Hall, and Missy Vance (Lee). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jill Rosier (Chris), Vickie Watkins (Benji), Amanda Trotter (Trea), Mallory Wilcox (Brandon), Brittany Watkins (Ryan), Haley Harmon (Dustin), William Mappus (Chandler), Avery Hall, Gavin Hall, Doug Vance, and Ellen Martin (Ryan); along with sixteen great-grandchildren; along with extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72½ years, Fannie Mae Cromer Hall; and his siblings, Cleo Fallaw, Clara Mae Brown, Dorcas McGee, Ella Hall, Alfred Hall, and J.C. "Pig" Hall.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 with the Rev. Dr. Bill Paulling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Avery Hall, Gavin Hall, William Mappus, Doug Vance, Brady Rosier, Ryan Rosier, Zed Watkins, and Skyler Trotter. The family will receive friends for an informal visitation at the home on Thursday, April 16th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is assisting the family.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Gentiva Hospice, PCM, and all the wonderful caregivers who tended to Mr. Jud during his illness this past year, and especially Anne in his final few days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, 5 Lion Loop, Batesburg, SC 29006.
