Joyce O'Conner Obituary
DUMFRIES, VA - Ms. Joyce Adams O'Conner, age 70, peacefully passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home in Dumfries, VA.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Derrick (Dede) of Woodbridge, VA and Kenneth (Tessa) of Rego Park, NY, three grandchildren, Omari, Omir and Ajia (Yalda), siblings Dr. Viola (Bishop Jehazel Williams) and Rosa Richardson of Aiken, SC, Edith Hamlet of Suffolk, VA, Elliott Adams, Jr. of Bamberg, SC, Elder Jerry (Phyllis) Adams of Langley, SC. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Elliott, Sr. and Martex Bradley Adams and three siblings, Marie, Beverly and Richard. She will be truly missed by all, including a host of relatives and friends.
Amemorial will be held at The Family Life Worship Center, Hwy 78, Aiken, SC on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00am. Friends may contact Dr. Viola Williams at 803-648-3474 for more information.

When Joyce raised her hand, it was either to praise the Lord or to silence the noise in a world gone crazy. She wore wisdom as her breast-plate and Love as her armor. Many people struggle for power and miss the real meaning of the word. Those of us who really took the time to know Joyce, know what power truly is. MAy she rest in Peace until that Great getting up Morning!!!

Our deepest sympathy to Joyce's family and friends. She was a lovely lady and well-respected member of our support group, The Pulmonary Pals. We have missed her greatly at our meetings and so sorry to learn of her passing. May God be with you all at this difficult time.
