Joseph Simpkins Obituary
Aiken - Memorial services for Mr. Joseph Simpkins, Sr., who passed away February 14, 2020 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Jackson-Brooks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lester Smalls, Officiating. Joseph was a very hard working man, being a provider for his family, that he loved and cared for deeply. He enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, fishing, and working. He worked for National Kaolin Company, retiring from Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Louise Seigler Simpkins and his daughter, Andrea D. Simpkins; while leaving to cherish his memory: his wife, Yvonne H. Simpkins; his sons, Joseph Simpkins, Jr. (Celestine), Anthony L. Simpkins, and Antonio L. Simpkins (Chandra M. Pixley); sisters, Essie M. Jordan, Annie M. Butler, Betty Buckman; brother, Charles (Teresa) Simpkins; grandchildren, Kelly C.Alexander and Anthony L. Simpkins, Jr., Xavier D. Matheney, and Harold F. Matheney; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Friends may call the residence, 151 Good Springs Rd, Aiken or JACKSON-BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, 126 Fairfield St, SE, Aiken, SC 29801, 803 649 6123.
