I always saw Uncle John as this classy , handsome, sophisticated gentle man. He was always so kind to me, even though I was rather whiny. He was smart and helped me with my math homework, because mama and daddy had no idea how to help me. He had so much common sense and was knowledgeable in everything. He seemed to me to be the calm in our lively family. I also remember how Uncle John played with us as kids and went to all of my dance recitals. I can´t imagine him not here with us, but I know his spirit will be.

John was always the gentleman; the man at the ready when there was a need. A good, honest, and Christian man of excellent character and notable quality. I worked with John for over 25 years and my best memory is that I could always call him my friend.
He will be missed and we will be less. May the Lord watch and keep him always and may His perpetual light shine upon him for all time.
