John Ray Miller
HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. John Ray Miller, 63, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lavania Ann Davis Miller and a cousin, Mary Dodd who passed away at the very same time as Ray.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 4 until 6 at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, South Carolina 29829. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Ridgeview Baptist Church, North Augusta, SC with Rev. Larry DeWolfe officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Miller, Wayne Miller, Jr, Austin Miller, and Sherman Carpenter.
Left to cherish Ray's memory are his father and stepmother, John and Robin Miller, of Hephzibah, GA; his brothers and sisters: Thomas Miller, Sammy Miller, Betty Ann Miller, Virginia Miller, and Wayne Miller (Gina); stepbrothers and sisters: Lisa McDermott, Donnie Wilson, Robert Wilson, and Danny Ray Wilson; his special Aunt Betty and Uncle Roger and many nieces and nephews.
Ray was born in Aiken, SC. He was a long-time resident of the Tri-Development Center where he worked in the bakery. Ray was proud of his participation in the Special Olympics and loved competing. He attended Ridgeview Baptist Church, North Augusta, SC.
