John Catoe Obituary
Fairborn, OH - Colonel Commander John David Catoe, age 46, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born June 23, 1976, in Lancaster, a son of Jimmy L. Catoe and Sadie Raffaldt Catoe and was the husband of Maggie Ann Meditz Catoe. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. He was currently serving at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH. Family was most important to him, and he loved spending time with them and his friends.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Maggie Catoe; his son, Ronald William Catoe (age 17); his daughter, Anna Ellison Catoe (age 12); his parents, Jim and Sadie Catoe; three brothers; father-in-law, Jack Walsh; brother-in-law, Michael Meditz (Laura); sister-in-law, Robyn Webb; and many nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life Service for John will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October 8, 2022, at White Springs Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Brad Threatt. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.

Maggie, Will, Ellie and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. John was one of the nicest people I´ve ever known and a great leader. He was passionate about his career and wanted to ensure the success of everyone who worked with him. He was so excited when you got your fifth wheel and planned all your adventures as a family. May God comfort you as you grieve, but please remember...for a man of faith, death is not the end, it´s just a passing. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

To the entire Catoe family, I would like to send my deepest sympathy and well wishes for you in future. I had the immense pleasure to work with Col Catoe at Shaw and he was great leader to us all. I know you and the kids are proud of the way he was both a leader and father/husband, not many get that kid of love and devotion so you are all truly blessed. What Beautiful words about an amazing man. The Love of Mr. Catoe & Faith you show is such an Inspiration I happened to be on that rafting trip in one of the boats seeing the surreal experience and feeling so sorry for Mr. Catoe & all of you his family. My Heart goes out to all of you, but please know your strength, your words & the life you describe about John, truly inspires me to be a better man.
