"Retired Owens Corning"
Johnston, SC - Mr. Joe Edward Friar, 86, of Young St., husband of the late Frankie Norris Friar, died Saturday March 21, 2015.
Mr. Friar was a native of Johnston, S.C. and was a Navy Veteran. He was retired supervisor of Maintenance and the Machine Shop at Owens-Corning in Aiken, S.C.
Survivors include 2 Sons- Joe Horace (Trudy) Friar, Tony (Debora) Friar; one sister- Ecie DeLaughter; one Brother- Tommy Friar; five Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
The family is at the home on Young St. and will receive friends Monday March 23, 2015 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
A Private Service will be held at a later date.
