Jimmie Benson Obituary

Mr. Jimmie Dee Benson, 61, of North Augusta, SC, entered into rest on Friday, October 10, 2025. A lifelong area resident, he was the son of the late Jimmy Dee Benson and the late Allie Frances Scarborough Tabb. He was a proud graduate of Westside High School. Known as a proud former "Union Man," Jimmie worked as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union #1579. Jimmie was happiest when he was "teeing it up" on the golf course, riding his Harley, taking trips to Hilton Head Island, and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved his girls and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is survived by his devoted former wife, Helen Hall Benson; his daughters, April Benson (Phillip) and Meagan Benson; his beloved grandchildren, Kaylee Marie Wallace and Benson Dee Blocker; and his siblings, Karen Rima (Harvey), Joel Benson, Benjamin Benson (Tina) and Brandy Benson. He will also be deeply missed by many other relatives and friends. The family will greet friends on Monday, October 20, 2025, beginning at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC.
