Jesse Maroney Obituary

Jesse Patrick Maroney
AIKEN, SC - Jesse Patrick Maroney, age 73, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 52 wonderful years to Janalyn Baird Maroney and son of the late Joe Cecil Maroney and the late Eunice Courtney Maroney Sherrill, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Friday, June 5, 2015.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Lydia) Maroney and Garrett Maroney both of Aiken; a sister Annette Heath of Clearwater; two grandchildren, Amber and Joshua Maroney; one great grandson, Donovan Moreno; two step grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville.
He was the owner/operator of Jones Supply since 1988 until his retirement. He was a US Air Force Veteran, a member of the Masons and Shriners, the Leisure Years Club of Graniteville and the South Edisto Hunting Club. The family stated that he was a real caring person who was always doing something for others. He often denied himself of many pleasures in life while serving his fellowman.
He was also a very giving person, who would literally give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. The world would definitely be a better place if we had more people like him. He will certainly be missed by his family and friends; however, death is not the end as he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. Earth's loss is truly Heaven's gain.
The family will receive friends at the J. Virgil Addie Fellowship Hall of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville this Monday evening, June 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held at the church, on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Barry Antley officiating.
The interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor, may be made to the Salvation Army, 322 Gayle Ave. NW, Aiken, S.C. 29801 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, S.C. 29605. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
