Jerry B. Walker
Beech Island - Mr. Jerry B. Walker, 76, beloved husband of Jackie Walker, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, October 28, 2022. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Friday afternoon, November 11th, at 2 o'clock at Clearwater First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Veteran Honors and Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 o'clock.
Jerry was born April 21, 1946, to the late Oscar Walker and Mirriam Walker. He was a lifelong resident of Aiken County and graduated from Aiken High School. Jerry was a U.S. Navy veteran serving four years as an aircraft electrician aboard an aircraft carrier. He went on to retire from his career as a maintenance mechanic with Kimberly Clark in Beech Island. Jerry was an avid musician and enjoyed playing his guitar, golfing, and camping. He had a gift of creativity and was a talented artist, skilled woodworker, and furniture builder. Jerry was also a devout Christian and a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church, where he loved serving his church family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Walker and Vestos Walker; and a sister-in-law, Christine Walker. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years, Jackie Walker; his eldest son, Jason Walker (Katrice) and their children, Camryn Gillian (Ryanne) and their child, Ryleigh; his youngest son, Dan Walker; a brother, Jimmy Walker; a sister, Donna Johnston (Richard); a step-daughter, Krista Gregory and her children, Ryan Gregory, Aaron Gregory, and Victoria Sutton (Shane) and their children, Jase and Kierstyn; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Clearwater First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 610 Clearwater, SC 29822.
