Jerry Bennett Obituary

Warrenville, SC – Memorial Services for Jerry Hibert Bennett, 27, who entered into rest September 8, 2025, will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel, Dr. John Newell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 until 7. The family asks that those attending the service wear their Georgia Bulldog gear or black and red. Jerry was born November 4, 1997, in Augusta, GA to Charles and Michelle Bennett. He was a 2016 graduate of North Augusta High School. Jerry loved all sports and was a coach for the North Augusta Rec Department soccer league. He worked as a service technician for Automatic Fire Systems of Augusta. To say Jerry was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan is an understatement. He enjoyed the annual pilgrimages to the Lake Michigan United Methodist Camp in Pentwater, Michigan, but most of all Jerry loved time with his family. He was known by many different nicknames to various family members including, "Tio Hibby," "Big Woof," and "Jer Bear." He was preceded in death his paternal grandparents, Guy and Mary Ann Bennett and his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Meek. Survivors include his wife, Morgan Bennett; daughters, Baylee Hutto and Miya Hutto; son, Michael Bennett; parents, Charles and Michelle Bennett; brothers, Jason Bennett (Rita) and Joshua Bennett (Krista); grandparents, Jerry and Beth Baggett; nieces, Charlotte Bennett, Scarlett Bennett, Ellie Bennett and Emmy Bennett.
