Jefferson Moore Obituary
JACKSON - Jefferson William Moore, age 79, passed away peacefully at Cumberland Hills on January 14, 2023.
Mr. Moore was born in Aiken County, SC to the late Grady and Celia Moore. He was a long-time resident of the area. He spent his career as a Park Ranger with the State of South Carolina and later worked for Wackenhut Security at SRS, and then DSM in Augusta, GA. He was a member of Matlock Baptist Church in Jackson, SC. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Kneece Moore; a brother, Frank Moore; and a sister, Betty Ruth Ludwig.
Survivors include two daughters, Sybil Frazier (Clay), Jackson, SC and Sandi Oswald (Rocky), Aiken, SC; five grandchildren, Austin Frazier, Aaron Frazier, Madison Morton (Jesse), Alec Frazier, and Olivia Oswald.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at George Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in The George Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dale Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park, Batesville-Leesville, SC. Pallbearers will be Clay Frazier, Rocky Oswald, Austin Frazier, Aaron Frazier, and Alec Frazier.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
