I am so sad to hear of this news. I was trying to look Janie up on Facebook to say happy birthday to her; when I noticed she wasn’t there - I googled her to see if I could find her phone number. That’s when I found her obituary.
My name is Cierra Reed; my dad and I lived next to Janie and Becky for years at Verandas on the Green. Janie was like a grandmother to me, and I really loved her so much. I am so sad to hear of this news.
I love all of you, and I just want you all to know that she was spectacular to me when she didn’t have to be. She was an angel and a true woman of god. I will miss her so dearly.
She is forever cherished in my heart. She touched my life. I thank God everyday that I had the opportunity to know her and Becky.

With our deepest heartfelt sympathy we are praying that everyone will have the peace of God, the comfort of His Spirit, the hope of His promises, and the joy in the gift of your memories, now and always.
I will greatly miss Janie. I considered her my best friend ever. She and I meet through the Disable American Veterans Auxiliary years ago. When after my husband and I moved to Texas over ten years ago, we kept in touch with each other. She and Becky has even visited with us here in Texas when she was still able to travel. When we went through South Carolina last November we went and visited with her and Becky for about two hours. So very glad that we were able to visit with her then. I will miss our conversation which before she got ill could last two hours. We could talk about any and everything, especially our love of our Lord and family. I so glad I got to talk with her as late as July 2, 2020.
I feel very blessed to have known Janie. She was a wonderful person.
