Jane Elizabeth Selman
AIKEN - Jane Elizabeth Selman, age 98, entered into rest Monday, May 23, 2022.
Mrs. Selman was born April 26, 1924 in Ithaca, NY to the late John Cronk Crissey and the late Christine Sturrock Crissey. She had made Aiken, SC her home since 1967 and was a long-time member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Her true passion was being a church soloist at St. John's and being a member of both the Chancel Choir and Church Choir. She enjoyed supporting her husband's various business endeavors which included the Sno-Cap for several years, Selman Wholesale Electric, and Lighting Concepts by Selman. Mrs. Selman loved to cross stitch and travel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Bruce Selman Jr.; her grandson, Anthony Selman; her brother, Walter Crissey; and her sister, Marion Thornton.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Jackson (John); two sons, Gary Selman (Lynda) and Bruce Selman (Lou); eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at George Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in The George Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
