James Pack Obituary

Mr. James M. Pack, Jr., 86, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Long Pack, his second wife, Toby Bryant Pack, a daughter, Casandra Pack Wood, his mother and stepfather, Pete and Hester Burgess Harris, and his father, James M. Pack, Sr. The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025, beginning at 1 pm in the sanctuary of Woodridge Baptist Church, 401 Birch Street, North Augusta, SC 29841. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Left to cherish Mr. Pack's memory are two sons, Richard Pack (Amy) and Robert Pack; step-daughters, Teresa Kennedy (Rick) and Vickie Bryant; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Pack was born in Spartanburg, SC, on April 27, 1939, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force with honor. He retired from CSX Railroad in 2001 after thirty-seven years of service. He was a member of the CSRA Flyers, a club that specialized in remote-controlled airplanes. Mr. Pack was a dedicated member of Belridge Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and volunteering for Woodridge Baptist Church's food pantry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Woodridge Baptist Church Food Pantry, 401 Birch Street, North Augusta, SC 29841.
