James Dillon Hightower, Jr.
WADLEY, Ala. - Graveside services for James Dillon Hightower, Jr., age 81, of Wadley, will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church in Wadley with Bro. Danny Anglin officiating.
Mr. Hightower passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his home in Wadley, Alabama.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Brown Hightower; daughters, Dianna Lynn Jarriel (Roy) of Clark Hill, SC, and Victoria Francine Lott (Paul) of Edgefield, SC; sons, James Dillon Hightower, III (April) of Lafollette, TN, and Jeffrey Allen Hightower (Cindy) of Wadley; five grandchildren, Courtney, Cory, Matthew, Ashley, and Aaron; and six great-grandchildren, Bailee, Mason, Alyssa, Wyatt, Ella Grace, and Ren; sister, Judy Kersey (Poly) of Adrian, GA; and brother, Jerry Hightower (Debbie) of Dublin, GA.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Hightower, Aaron Lott, Jeffrey Hightower, Paul Lott, Roy Jarriel and Shane Abney.
An Atlantic City, NJ, native, Mr. Hightower was born on October 23, 1942, the son of James Dillon Hightower, Sr. and Francis Linger. He was an electrical superintendent for Eldeco. He loved to fish and piddle around in his yard at home. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Hightower.
