I can't believe it has been 9 years! I miss his wonderful smile and his caring manner. He was a great doctor and a great human being. My thoughts are with Sherry and the family. I know he loved you all.

I still miss Dr. Hambidge. He was a wonderful physician of the body and spirit. Blessings to the family.

So sorry for your loss Dr. Hambidge was my mother's doctor. She loved him dearly and he treated her with respect, and love, also was very kind to me her daughter. He will be missed.

Jim was my doctor. He was a great doctor, a gentleman who loved his patients and family. We shared certain views about our medical practices and families and our individual ways of seing what we did. He had it right and so many times he expressed his love and care for his family, wife, children and grand children. Now, he will be watching us and caring for us from afar. He was a blessing to our son and our whole family. In the 1980's he took our son, who then was 12 and was very ill with Juvenile Rehumatoid Arthritis. Dr. Hambidge was very compassionate and caring to our son's case and had the strong dedication and ability to make him well. He soon took all of our family as patients. He always remained dedicated and compassionate and caring. He was very special to us and it will be very difficult to find another christian doctor who has the same dedication, compassion, and who cares so much for his/her patients. There are hardly words to describe our sorrow and the degree to which we will miss him.

During our 10+ years in Evansville from the late 80s to late 90s, Dr. Hambidge was our family physician. What an extraordinary doctor; what an extraordinary man. He leaves a legacy of caring and love for all his patients. May he rest in God's eternal love.

I knew , without a doubt , that every time I needed help , he would have the answers . Whether it was encouraging words, a discussion, a hug, or a simple prescription. Have never had a doctor and a friend so dear as Jim.

Dr. Hambidge has cared for several members of our family. I met him while working as a nurse 35 years ago and loved his bedside manner, compation, and skill. I had my parents start seeing him in addition to myself. When my Mother passed away a few years ago he came to the funeral home. He is like family. He will be sorely missed but we know he has a special place in Heaven.

Dr Hambidge you will be missed you always took the time to talk to me, you were the best doctor I ever had, no one will ever replace you. My heart goes out to your family

My deepest sympathy to all whose life was touched by Dr Hambidge. The love and compassion that he had for his patients is indescribable. When my mother died he drove 40 miles to extend his condolences at the viewing. I will always remember him as the best physician I have ever had and as a friend.

We will miss you. Our summers over the last 20 plus years have been wonderful. Praying for all of you during this difficult time.

There will never be another that can take his place. I have the greatest respect for his knowledge and his loving caring attitude for all our our patients. He taught me so many things and allowed me to use my nursing judgement in meeting the needs of others. I will miss him very much but I know he will always be there to keep me in line. I never hesitated to refer my friends and family to him, I knew he was the best doctor they could ever have. I consider myself very lucky to have worked by his side.

I was very sad to hear of Jim's passing. He and Sherie were some of the first friends we made when we moved to Newburgh. Our girls played together growing up and still remain in contact. We have so many wonderful memories of time spent with the Hambidges. May God bless the entire Hambidge family during this very difficult time. I know Jim touched so many lives and cared for so many patients. He had such a sweet smile and always a warm hug. Heaven is a happier place now that Jim has arrived!

Words cannot express my sadness for the family...and for his patients. So sorry that his grands will not know the warmth of his smile and the love in his heart for them. He was a wonderful doctor and a better person. Tears have flowed at my house.....he will be missed by so many.

Our family has been with Dr Hambidge for 32 years......since I was 16... Thank you for the years of good health.....will miss you...oh yeah I have my annual exam in three weeks...now what do I do without your youthful smile

I was so sad to hear of Jim's passing. Sherie and Jim were some of the first friends who made us feel,so welcome in Newburgh back in 1980. Our girls played together and still remain friends. I will miss Dr. Hambidge because he was the only doctor I knew who made me feel like a human being, not just his next appointment. I knew he really cared about my welfare.

Dr. Hambidge took wonderful care of my parents Dr. and Mrs Jack Hooper throughout many illnesses and till the end of life.His compassion and caring went beyond the ordinary and he was truly an exceptional Doctor.The entire Hooper family is saddened by his loss and wish his family comfort at this time.

DR. Hambidge was my best friend, my counselor, an audience for my sick jokes, and my shoulder to lean on. Whatever I needed him to be each visit, he was. Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father, relative or friend. I did not know Dr. Hambidge personally but my sister (Bonnie Thompson) worked for him. She truly ranked him as high as a "Saint" and loved her job because of him. May he rest in peace and enjoy the hereafter without pain.

I am heart-broken for you and your family!!  Dr. Hambidge was absolutely a wonderful man and physician.  He took the time to help me figure out what was medically wrong with me when no one else could or eventually would.  He treated me with respect and always greeted me literally with open arms.  He would ask about my family and even would remember my daughter's name.  We laughed and cried together through many difficult moments.  Please know he has forever made a difference in my life and I am sure he has touched the hearts of many others!!  I will miss him dearly!!  My prayers of comfort and encouragement are with you and your family!!
