James Fowler Obituary
CONCORD, NC - Mr. James William "Jim" Fowler, Sr., 92, of Crescent Heights, Concord, NC,
entered into his rest at Carillon of Harrisburg, NC, on April 11th, 2016.
He was a son of the late James E. and Mary A. Fowler of Abbeville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Milton and Calvin; sister, Iris; and his youngest son, Gary.
He was the beloved husband of Glenna Henley Fowler. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on April 10, 2016.
He is also survived by his daughter, Brenda Fowler of North Wilkesboro, NC; his sons, James W. Fowler, Jr. (Peggie) of Lithia Springs, GA and Edward A. Fowler (Joy) of McCormick, SC; seven grandchildren, Shari, Cindy, Clark, Brent, Andrew, Tripp and Aaron and eleven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Friday, April 15th, 2016, beginning at 11 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with A Celebration of Life Service beginning at 12 o'clock in the chapel. Interment, with Veterans Honors rendered by a United States Navy Honor Guard, will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.

It seems like just yesterday when I was a little girl and Uncle James was a young man....and now he's moved out of his body...and I am not far behind. To my Aunt Glenna, and Brenda, and "Junior", and Eddie I share with you the loss of the man who was always the one in charge....the handsome young sailor I have in pictures and all of our pictures of the wonderful times at Granma' Sallie's house. It went too fast, didn't it. I love you all and I know things will be different as you adjust to this loss and the changes it will bring.
