James Henry Corley Jr. "Jim"
AIKEN - Mr. James Henry "Jim" Corley Jr., 70, entered into rest on Saturday November 25, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Odesser Corley Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy H. Corley; sons, James (Kathleen) Corley, John (Autumn) Corley; sister, Jackie (John) Warner; grandchildren, Clay, Mason, Lauren, Canon, Bentley, Bennett; brother-in-law, Tom Monahon; sister-in-law, Kathy Monahon; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Aiken, S.C. and worked as a banker for many years before his retirement. He was a member of Talatha Baptist Church where he worked with their youth groups. He enjoyed sports, coaching youth sports, and the Gamecocks. He loved his family, especially his grandkids. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A Funeral Service, celebrating his life, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday December 1, 2023 at Talatha Baptist Church, 361 Talatha Church Rd, Aiken, SC 29803, with Pastors Jordan Bird and Trevor Burrow to officiate. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Mike Berry, Benny Jackson, James Sizemore, Edward Rodgers, Deno Verenes, Matt Owens, and Chuck Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 1970 GHS Rocks Football Team.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Jim's memory be made to the Talatha Baptist Church Building Fund, 361 Talatha Church Rd, Aiken, SC 29803, or the charity of your choice.
