James Brantley Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. James Albert Brantley, Jr., who entered into rest July 4, 2025. Mr. Brantley was a 1957 graduate of Lucy Craft Laney High School. He was a HST Leader at East Central Regional Hospital-Gracewood, Augusta. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church where he served on the Deacons Ministry, FF Cook Choir and as an Advisor of the Ushers Ministry. He was a United States Army Veterans. Survivors include his devoted wife, Theresa M. Leverett Brantley; two sons, Christopher Brantley and Brandon J. (Ashley) Brantley; two stepsons, Jeremy (Frances) Leverett and Joel Dorsey; grandchildren, Tywann Brantley, Derrick Brantley, Bailey Brantley, Brandon Brantley, Zion Brantley, Zory Brantley, Jhaden Leverett, Jhavon Leverett,and Joel Dorsey, Jr.; Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Javon Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. Professional Care has been entrusted to G.
