Jackie Bailey Moore
MULLINS - Jackie Bailey Moore, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, December 14, 2018 at McLeod Seacoast surrounded by her family.
She was born December 5, 1936 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Jurdie and Cristina Bailey. On March 16, 1957, she married the love of her life, Bill Moore, and started a family the very next year. In the early 80s, Bill and Jackie moved their family to Mullins, SC and would call it home for the next 37 years. Jackie was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She worked by Bill's side in the family business, William C. Moore State Farm Insurance Agency, was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church, and was an avid bridge player.
Jackie was predeceased by her father and mother, Jurdie and Cristina Bailey, her sister, Louise McDaniel and a brother, Jerome Bailey.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Moore of Mullins; her daughter, Pam Moore of North Myrtle Beach; her son, Bill (Teresa) Moore, Jr. of Darlington; a brother, John Bailey of Cedartown, GA; grandson, Trey McMillan of Charleston; granddaughter, Lindsey (Chris) Grady of Chesapeake, VA; granddaughter, Beth (Trey) Calcutt of Darlington; grandson, Christopher Moore of Darlington; and two great-grandchildren, Lilla and Lane Grady.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 17th at Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18th at Macedonia United Methodist Church. Burial will be private.
