GRANITEVILLE - Jack West, age 83, son of the late Lonnie Leard West and the late Daisy Grubbs West, entered into rest on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Billie West of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Jerry West of Graniteville, S.C.; a daughter, Terry West of Aiken, S.C.; a nephew, Joey West of Graniteville, S.C.; other survivors include a longtime special friend, Gertrude Lott and her granddaughter, Karah B. Moulton, who he came to love dearly as a little girl and considered her as his grandchild. Besides his many Church friends, he accumulated a large number of friends during his stay at NHC Nursing Facility. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Graniteville, S.C. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church in Graniteville, S.C. He really enjoyed working in his yard. He was a kind and caring person, which yielded him many friends. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 83 precious years that God granted him on this earth. Death is not the end, as he has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace, and no sad goodbyes are ever spoken. A service, celebrating his life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Earl Carter officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Ken Lott, Travis Lott, Zack Moulton, Eddie Beard and Barry Moulton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (140 Stoneridge Dr., Suite 210, Columbia, S.C. 29210) to aid in finding a cure for the disease or to Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church, 106 Mt.
