Isaac MacMcKnight Obituary

Isaac H. "Mac" McKnight
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mr. Isaac H. "Mac" McKnight, 90, of Kirby Drive, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
His funeral service was held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Fairview Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert Fuller, Dr. G. Daniel McCall, and Rev. Masaki Chiba officiating. Interment followed at Pineview Memorial Park with Military Honors.
Mr. McKnight was a member of the Fellowship Class, a former Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent, and member of the choir at Fairview Presbyterian Church. Mac retired as a Weapons Specialist, MP and Training Aids Instructor at Ft. Gordon. He was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion Post #71, VFW Order of the Purple Heart, former Scoutmaster of Troop 65, member of the 101st Airborne 2 Infantry, and the NRA. He was wounded in WWII and the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn S. McKnight. Survivors include two sons, John W. McKnight and his wife Tasia of Charleston, SC, and Edward L. McKnight of North Augusta, SC; one daughter, Margaret Shearouse and her husband John of Grovetown, GA; two sisters, Betty Lou Aimar and Mary Ross both of Charleston, SC; 5 sister-in-laws, Dorothy Padgett,
Virginia Brook, Jewel Seawright, Beverly Seawright, and Joan (Bill) Moody; grandchildren, Chap Shearouse
(Allison), Clint Shearouse (Jennifer), Ian McKnight,
Duncan (Ashleigh) McKnight, Myles McKnight, Grace McKnight, Graeme McKnight, Ryan Walsh, and Greg Walsh; and three great-grandchildren, Liam McKnight, Lucy Shearouse, and Will Shearouse, and several nieces and nephews.
Active Pallbearers were his nephews. Honorary Pallbearers were Fellowship Sunday School class members and members of the choir.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM.
Memorials may be made to Fairview Presbyterian Church, 1101 Carolina Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841.
