Iris Brown Obituary
AIKEN - Mrs. Iris Yvonne Stukes Brown, age 69, of 968 Alfred St, NE, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC. She was born in Aiken, SC to the late Isaac and Mamie Holston. She was a beautician by trade and also worked at Aiken Industries among other jobs.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmie Stukes and her second Husband John Henry Brown, her daughter Ilene Stukes, her sister Barbara Martin and her brother Carl Holston. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Victoria Stukes-Jenkins (James Robert) and Trina Stukes-Williams, both of Aiken, SC; two sisters Diane Gomillion of Aiken, SC and Beryl Holston of Graniteville, SC; two brothers Ronald Holston (Willie B.) of Sumter, SC and Brian Holston (Eva) of Graniteville, SC; five grandchildren, Isaiah Stukes (Tiffany), Vencent Stukes (Ashley), Shaquanda Stukes, Katrina Williams and Derrick Williams, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Malachi Odom Stukes and Raelynn Stukes. Funeral arrangements will be announced. (February 27th service has been canceled.)

I lift up in prayer the loving family of my Pinecrest Elementary School friend, Iris. She was a wonderful person with a gentle and caring spirit. May warm memories sustain the family and may each of you be comforted, too, by the thoughts and compassion of others who are sharing this sorrow with you.
