Rest in peace gentle man, we have recalled for years, you laughing at our efforts to make it from parking lot to building ducking behind cars after we slipped away for lunch;) we still laugh about you finding the humor in our mischief. There is no one like my Uncle Horace. His smile, his laugh, his love for his family and friends are worthy of imitation.

I am going to miss him so much! My prayer now is for our Heavenly Father to begin the healing process, to comfort the hearts of his wife, children, brothers and sisters. He will do so because He is the "God of all comfort' who sooths our hearts when we are in this much pain.

Bless his soul he was a loving principal, understanding and caring yes i use to work his nerve at Joseph Lamar and he put that paddle on me i wouldn't change nothing in the word for what he taught and I received. To the family he was well love well respected loved by many so keep your heads

I was shocked and heart broken to find out Mr Lamback had passed away... Words cant express the admiration I have in my heart for him. This was a true angel on Earth. I had the pleasure of working with him and being mentored by him and I thank God for him. Our condolences to his family.

I am very sorry for your loss I know Mr. Lamback will be missed. Mr. Lamback was a great administrator and was loved and respected by teachers and students. So much so that I remember we held a protest when he was asked to move schools. As an educator myself now I can appreciate so much more the impact and influence he had on my life and so many others I know.

Mr. Lamback was a good guy and a great principle. I never had any run-ins with him, but when I talked to him he was always very nice. He will be missed by all the old students, and the new students will never get to meet this great man.

Mr. Lamback was an excellent Principal at AR Johnson while my daughter was a student there (class of '99). I taught under Mr. Lamback when he was principal at Tubman Middle. He was a strong, yet caring, administrator with a great sense of humor. He will be missed.

Thank you to the family for allowing us the students of HHS to be a part of your family. He pushed us to do good. As for me I made it to his office one time and it was enough for me. I had never been in trouble before and he made me sit in his office for half a day. He didn't let me catch the bus. He drove me home. It was the longest 15mins of my life. Never got in trouble again. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Lamback has passed. I couldn't believe it when my mom called me with the bad news. As many of you know he was my principal at A.R. Johnson all 4 years of high school (94-98). Johnson wasn't the same after he left. He was very passionate about education and had a heart of gold. The entire Class of 1998 loved him dearly. May God give you comfort during this difficult time.
