Henry Gunter Obituary
Aiken - Henry Allen Gunter, age 62, entered into rest Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at his residence surrounded by family.
Mr. Gunter was born January 24, 1959 in Aiken, SC to the late Ralph and Frances Gunter. He was a life-long area resident. He graduated from Clemson University and retired from SRS as an engineer. Mr. Gunter was extremely handy and enjoyed woodworking. Family and church were very important to him. He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Sylvia Gunter; two sons, Phillip and Robert Gunter; and a sister, Mary Martin (Jerry).
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Millbrook Baptist Church with The Rev. Bill Howard officiating, visitation to follow. Private interment in Aiken Memorial Gardens will precede the memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.

Sylvia and boys,
our hearts go out to you all. I not only loved Allen as a brother in Christ but had the highest respect for all of his leadership there at Memorial. He has finished the race and has received his crown of righteousness from our Savior. May you each sense the love and support from all of your fellow believers and family in the days ahead.
