To the Family, Helen was one of the first friends I had when I moved to AIKEN, Helen and I met in the Happy Days Camp err when she was in The School System, Helen was like a Sister to me, but raising children, jobs and divorce kept us from seeing each other, but talked often, we could all pick up where left off. I Love You Helen and Family I here for you.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Lavetta, Evynn, James, Michael, Uncle Jeffery, Renee, Shaquanna, Asia & Mario, family and friends

Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow felt by the loss of our beloved Ms. Helen. No one can prepare us for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing that Ms. Helen is now resting safe in the arms of our Lord.

She will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends and family for strength, and always remember how much you all are loved.

Our deepest condolences to you and your family,
Lisa, Taylor & Talia

Miss Helen and I worked together at Aiken County Parks and Rec. She was an incredible woman!!I can say many single mothers owe a tremendous debt to Miss Simpkins. She would take care of children at the rec center and allow them to pay later, knowing some times they would never pay., but she knew they needed the help. She taught me to take care of the community the takes care of you. She made me understand this before I started working at parks and rec. At the time I was working for Aiken County Sheriff's Office and I'd volunteered because she told me the young boys there needed a mentor. So I did. I never thought that we would work together to create some of Aiken County's most important programs and festivals. She will truly be missed. Love you Miss Helen!
