Helen Moates Obituary
WILLISTON, SC - Funeral services for Helen Louise Moates, 79, of Williston, SC will be held two p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Grace Covenant Church of God, 703 Main Street North, New Ellenton, SC 29809 with the Reverend Edgar Foster officiating; burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Wednesday, July 2nd at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Mrs. Moates passed away Monday, June 30, 2014.
Born in Clinton, SC she was a daughter of the late John Henry Foster and Pearl Mae Burden Foster. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton and was owner/operator of Moates Daycare for 30 years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Reverend Ernest C. Moates; daughter, Jean Dean of ID; sons, Dan (Linda) Moates of Ocala, FL, John (Donna) Moates of Rome, GA; sister, Mary Frances Paden; brother, J. C. (Myrtle) Foster; grandchildren, Starla Chord, Ashleigh Smith, Chris Hutto, Lindsey Broker, Jonathan Moates, Jeremy Moates; great grandchildren, Ethan, Wyatt, Dalton, Londyn, Josh, Sydney; a niece and a nephew.
Folk Funeral Home, Inc. and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Moates was a wonderful person and a great care giver to 4 of my children. All the kids loved her. She had a way with children and always made time to discuss the children with their moms. She was also a friend to the parents. She really went over and beyond when I went to a different shift. There are so many great things to say about Mrs. Moates. She was a saint and will be missed terribly and thought of often. My thoughts and prayers are sent out to her family .
