Helen Boehner Obituary

Helen (Hoslyk) Boehner
Aiken, SC - Mrs. Helen (Hoslyk) Boehner, 97, of Aiken, SC, formerly of Liverpool, NY, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be scheduled in New York at a later date. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21st from 6-8pm at her son's residence. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken, SC is assisting the family.
A daughter of the late John Hoslyk and Katherine Hoslyk, she was born in Ambridge, PA and had lived in Liverpool before moving to Aiken in 2007. She was retired as a mortgage banker for Syracuse Savings Bank and had been a docent at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse. She also volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at St. Joseph's Hospital, Crouse-Irving Hospital and Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. She loved to play golf.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank M. Boehner.
She is survived by a son, Dr. James F. Boehner, Aiken, SC and a daughter, Carole Fey, Ithaca, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living Center and Aiken Regional Medical Centers for their loving care and asks that Memorial donations be directed to the Aiken Center For The Arts, Student Scholarship Fund, 122 Laurens St. SW Aiken, SC 29801.

Dear Dr. Boehner, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I always enjoyed spending time with her at Shadow Oaks when she came out for the horse races. I will surely miss her.
