Hazel Clark Obituary

Hazel Clark
GLOVERVILLE - Hazel Clark, 90, of Gloverville, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by Chester Clark, her husband of 41 years, and her sister Myrtle Johnson.
Hazel worked at Seminole Mill until it closed, and joined Aiken Regional Hospital before retiring in 1998. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Hazel was strong, kind, and generous. She accepted everyone for who they were and was always willing to help those in need. She was a devoted mother, especially to her two sons with disabilities. She never forgot a birthday.
Hazel is survived by her five children, Ronald Clark, Terry Garner (Frankie), David Clark (Dottie), Kathy Watkins (Ed), and Timmy Clark; her grandchildren Erin Garner, Marcus Garner, Dave Clark (April), Casey Watkins (Brandtly), Jessie Garrett (Brandon) and Edward Watkins; her great grandchildren, Hazel Grace and Tripp. A special thank you to Lisa Boyd and Dianne Malpass.
True to her progressive nature, Hazel requested that her body be donated to medicine in the hope that she could continue to help others. A private ceremony will be held by her family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aiken County SPCA, and Hospice Care of SC.

I will miss the spontaneous visits, the hot coffee, always being asked if I was hungry . The times it was just the two of us, and I needed good advice and got it. I knew her for as long as my memory will allow. Every time I left her house, I felt better than when I arrived. Terry, Cuz, Kathy, Ronnie, Timmy of all my childhood memories y'all are in most of them. I love y'all.

Ms. Hazel was the sweetest person. She was always very inviting and caring when I came to visit. To her family, I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a radiant woman. One thing I am assured of is that Ms. Hazel is no longer suffering. The Bible speaks of a time when there will be no more pain, suffering, or tears, for the former things will pass away. I also have faith that one day, we will be able to see Ms. Hazel again, in full health. Once again, I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you all find comfort within each other and the Bible.
