Hazel Peeler Campbell
AIKEN - Hazel Peeler Campbell, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at home, after recovering from lung cancer identified May 2006.
Hazel was born January 30, 1933 in Gaffney, SC, and was married to Thomas C. Campbell, Sr. on June 27, 1954.
Her parents were M. Anthony N. Peeler and Janell Phillips Peeler Harris. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and attended Cecil's Business and Southern Methodist Colleges. She retired as a Senior Specialist from Westinghouse, Savannah River Site after 39 years employment.
She was a faithful member of Millbrook Baptist Church since 1954 and had a perfect attendance of more than 37 years in Sunday School, during that time she served 25 years as a Sunday School secretary and on various committees; the choir, WMU and other positions. She enjoyed the fellowship of friends and the many travels before and after retirement.
Surviving are her husband of 69 years, her son Thomas C. Campbell, Jr. of North Augusta, SC, Nephews Ashley (Linda) Harris of Inman, SC, and Jay E. Harris of Anderson, SC and many caring cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, step-father (Edward Harris) and brother Jimmy A. Harris.
The family expresses gratitude to the many relatives and friends who ministered to her through prayers, cards and other caring ways during the years of lung cancer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Millbrook Baptist Church, 223 S. Aiken Blvd., Aiken, SC 29803.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, July 1st beginning at 1 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 o'clock in the Shellhouse - Rivers Chapel with The Revs. Dr. Chris Masters and Bill Howard III officiating. Following the service, entombment will be at Southlawn Mausoleum, 452 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC.

Thanks for the reminder , seems as time goes by we seem to forget some of those who have passed away, But Hazel is there in my memories always and it is a pleasant visit to those memories. She was a wonderful person and i remember her from SRP .
