Harold Raynor Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Mr. Harold Lee Raynor, Jr., 68, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Millbrook Baptist Church with the
Reverend Dr. Phillip Dunn officiating. Interment, with honors by the United States Marine Corps, will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be GySgt. William Paul Massey, Jr., Sean Cameron, Braeden Cameron, Daryl Carter, Vernon Carter, Ladd Britt and Mike Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Edler, Mike Caldwell, Maurice Peace, Scott Peace, Jimmy Jordan, and Mike Chapman.
Harold was born in Huntington, WV, a son of Mrs. Willa Mae Petry Raynor, Aiken, and the late Harold Lee Raynor, Sr. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, and resident of Aiken for over 40 years. During his time in Aiken, Harold was the District Manager for Lowes, and a home builder. He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and Truth Seekers Sunday School class, and also The Gideons International.
Harold was a loving, giving, selfless husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is also survived by
his beloved wife, Jeanette Flowers Raynor; two daughters, Andrea Beth Raynor, Aiken, Delora Brena (Billy) Cameron, Aiken; two sons, Harold Brian (Phyllis) Raynor, Irmo, SC, Charles Brent (Jamie) Raynor, Cullowhee, NC; seven grandchildren, William Sean Cameron,
Braeden Ross Cameron, Mary Gillianne Raynor, Alyssa
Brianne Raynor, Madison Grace Raynor, Suzannah Rylee Raynor, Samantha Charlee Raynor; a sister, Danita Joyce Massey, Aiken; a brother, Steve Raynor, Aiken.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Gideons International, Aiken County East, P.O. Box 1926, Aiken, SC 29802.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday evening at Millbrook Baptist Church.

So sad to hear Mr. Raynor has been called home early. I worked for him years ago and yet to this day I can't call him by his first out of the great respect I have for him. A wonderful man and a great leader. He was honest , caring and always willing to take time to share his knowledge and really cared for everyone around him. Rest in Peace now dear friend.

I was shocked to hear about Harold's passing Sunday evening from Duncan Caldwell. I "m sorry I missed his funeral. I knew him since 1986. As district manager of Lowes he became my champion as he stood behind me as s woman in a traditionally male position. He ranked loyalty and ability above popular choice. Years later I would know Harold as a very Christian man. After personal tragedy hit him hard he turned to God when he could have easily turned away. He has always been an inspiration to me and I am blessed to have known all oh his wonderful children. My prayers are with them now as well ad the grandchildren and his lovely wife. I was so very stunned and saddened to learn of the loss of our good friend and Lake Murray neighbor. He was always wise and respectable, and a pleasure to talk to. We will miss him as will so many others. May God be with you as He is with Harold.
