Hamilton Love Obituary

Mr Love as he was always called by his students which I was one. I can remember all the music theory he taught me and it really made me a talented student of his with superior several times I learned to play Trumpet, Baritone, and Tuba under his guidance and was grateful for his leadership and patients that he share with me he was a very firm instructor, and because of that we learned the most important thing in life to me it was discipline and he did not except any thing less. One of STHS greatest teachers I could write a book about Mr Love you're going to be missed I know you're playing your woodwinds in heaven. Rest in peace.

To Mr. Love; he taught me and my fellow classmate ( Clarence Miles and Larry Duncan) three thirteen year olds being taught by a master teacher. I am now 63 years and I love music because of him.

Hamilton Love answered His last call from the High and mighty God who gives life and receives it back to Himself when He sees fit to do so. Praying for Catherine and family for The transition of their love one.

You were such a good co worker when I worked with you at my first teaching job at W.E, Parker High School in the Sixties.Rest in peace Hamilton, we will meet again.

You taught me how to play ALL the percussion instruments. You always kept me in band competitions,in which I always excelled through your teaching. Thank you Mr Love for all you instilled in me as well as to all the band students who were under your instruction within the Edgefield County School District.

My most memorable moments in high school was the band, under the leadership of Mr. Love. I was inspired to join the band by my brother, John Lanham who played the tuba at W.E. Parker High School. Mr. Love was his mentor. He spoke of him constantly. He will be missed but we have so many good memories to reflect on. Our prayers are with the family.

I learned so much from Mr. Love in marching band at STHS. Prayers for his family. He was always so patient with everyone.

It has been along time for me to see him it was in the early 70s when I last saw him. Great teacher I remember I was in a parade as assistant to ms home coming at we Parker and I wasn't smiling he hit me so hard with his proton and I smiled the rest of the way to school very nice mentor and a great teacher sorry for your loss. He will be remember.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I have very fond memories of him during my days in the band at WE Parker and STHS. He was a great teacher.

Mr. Love was a great leader, an outstanding band director, and genuine mentor for four years from 1982- 1986. Mr. Love's grace with professionalism, mentoring young people, and thrive for perfection was valuable part of the thrive I have today as a husband, father, grand father, a christian, and leader(military and civilian life) Thank you, family, for being the motivation of his thrive for perfection! Mr. Love legacy shall continue through you and all the young lives he positively influenced through the years.God bless you all and the legacy of Mr.Love.

I will cherish the memories of this great man through the teaching of music. He taught me how to perfect the clarinet and flute. He was loving and kind to all of his students. My condolences and prayers to the Love family.

Mr. Love will be missed. He taught me to play the flute when I was at Douglas Elementary. He helped instill in me the love of music. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.

Mr. Love taught me to play the flute when I was 10/11 years old- the man had the patience of Job. He will be missed & my prayers are with his family!
