Gregory Stevens Obituary
Aiken, SC - Funeral Services for Gregory C. Stevens, will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Cumberland African Methodist Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Salley, SC. A visitation/viewing will be held this evening at Cumberland AME Church at 111 Kershaw Street S. E. from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A. A. Dicks funeral Home in Columbia, SC is in charge of these arrangements. Friends may call at the residence of his mother at 1386 Congress Drive.
Gregory was born July 17, 1961 in Aiken, South Carolina. He was the son of Clara F. Stevens and the late Noah E. Stevens, Sr. He entered into rest suddenly on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
At an early age, Greg accepted Christ and joined Cumberland African Methodist Episcopal Church where he served as a choir member and household engineer. He attended the public schools in Graniteville and Aiken, SC.
Greg was married to the late Mahalia Johnson Stevens and leaves to cherish precious memories a devoted daughter, Lateidrya B. Mims and grandson, Artaevause Jamal Jackson, Jr. both of McCormick, SC; mother, Clara F. Stevens; three brothers, Terry L., Noah E., Jr. (Joyce) and Mark A. (Marie) Stevens; a sister, Claranne Stevens; and a host of other relatives and friends.
