Grady Buzhardt Obituary
NEW ELLENTON, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. Grady Buzhardt, 84, of George Street, New Ellenton, SC, who entered into rest June 14, 2014, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Foreman Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Frank E. Barker and Rev. Richard J. Nichols officiating. Interment in Southlawn Cemetery with Masonic Rites conducted by the Aiken Masonic Lodge #156 AFM.
Mr. Buzhardt was a native of Ware Shoals, SC, having made the Aiken-New Ellenton area his home for the past 61 years. He was a member of the Foreman Memorial Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Sunday School and Training Union Director and the Berea Pals Sunday School Class Teacher. Mr. Buzhardt was active in the Masonic Bodies for over 60 years having been a member of the Ware Shoals Lodge #306 AFM, the New Ellenton Lodge #389 AFM where he was a Past Master and affiliated with the Aiken Lodge #156 AFM. He also was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite.
He was a US Air Force Veteran and retired from the E.I. DuPont Company at the Savannah River Plant with 32 years of service. Mr. Buzhardt was an avid Sportsman and Gardener who shared the fruits of his labors with others.
Mr. Buzhardt was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Brunell Wrenn Buzhardt, parents, E.R. and Gladys Norrell Buzhardt, a brother, E.R. Buzhardt, Jr. and two sisters, Frances Bowie and Gladys Smith.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John & Jeannee Buzhardt, Aiken; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Alan Bishop, Aiken; a granddaughter, Rose Marie Buzhardt.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Berea Pals Sunday School Class and the Aiken Masonic Lodge #156 AFM.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family express appreciation to Aiken PD Dialysis Staff, PCM Home Health Care and Care South Hospice for the loving care of Mr. Buzhardt.

Dear John and Nancy, There will never be another Grady. What a treasure he was to our family whom he loved so dearly. I will miss him and our phone visits for the remainder of my days.
