GLENN FRANCK Obituary

FRANCK, GLENN - age 77, of Maynardville, passed away on April 2, 2014 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Peggy Hibbard Franck. He was the owner of Franck Construction Company from 1976 until 2014. Glenn was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky where he was a member of Lyndon Baptist Church. He attended the University of Kentucky and was a member of the university's baseball team and a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Glenn served in the U.S. Army for two years and was in the reserves for an additional six years. Glen enjoyed gardening, boating, and wood working, and loved spending time with his family on Norris Lake. Glenn was also actively involved in the North American Country Music Association International and served as a board member for seventeen years as Sergeant at Arms. "Poppy" always had a positive attitude toward life and loved being with his grandchildren. Glenn was the epitome of a hard worker, yet always found time to have fun with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Geneva Franck; brother, Matt Franck, Jr.; and granddaughter, Katie Brandenburg. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Franck of Maynardville; children, Gennie (Todd) Bridwell of Edgewood, Kentucky, Dianna (Brian) Caldwell of Hebron, Kentucky, Steve (Gina) Sewell of Houston, Texas, Kevin (Rhonda) Franck of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Terry Franck of Maynardville; and thirteen grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel in Maynardville, Tennessee.
