Gisela Wieczorek Obituary
WALKER VALLEY NY - Gisela Christel Ursula Wieczorek, age 79, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Aiken, SC.
Gisela was born November 9, 1935 in Pollnow, Germany to the late Walter and Meta Reinke. She immigrated to the United States in October 1955 and made Queens, New York her home for eight years. She has since made Walker Valley her home. Gisela was a member of Mt. View Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren as well as visiting her brother in the city.
In addition to her parents, Gisela was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Cox and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hilmar Franc Wieczorek; three daughters, Joanne McMann (Michael), Pine Bush, NY, Deborah Cox (James), Florence, SC, and Karin Wilkerson (Randy), Beech Island, SC; a son, Ronald Wieczorek (Robbin), Walker Valley, NY; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rainer Reinke (Hannalore), Queens, NY and Peter Reinke, of Germany; a step-brother, Helmut, of Germany; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234) has charge of arrangements.
