Gilbert Wall Obituary

Mr. Gilbert Scott "Butch" Wall, 66, of Trenton, SC, beloved husband of forty-six wonderful years to Mrs. Nancy Dyer Wall, entered into rest suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Butch was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his early twenties, he was a Board Certified Barber and worked as a Barber for several years in Aiken, SC. He retired from the South Carolina Highway Department, Aiken, SC, after twenty-eight years of service.
In addition to his wife, family members include children and their spouses, Christopher S. and Mary Beth Rogers Wall, Six Mile, SC, Pamela L. Wall and Steven Eric Steen, Jr., Warrenville, SC and Adam J. and Tonya S. Wall, Aiken, SC; beloved grandchildren, Audrey J. Wall and Brice A. McCormick, Aiken, SC and Georgianna E., Courtney G. and William S. Wall, all of Six Mile, SC; uncle and aunt, Carlisle and Lea Courtney, sister and brother-in-law, Ginny and Bob McGrath.
For all who knew Butch, he was a loving and caring man and always looked out for his fellow man.

The family will greet friends on Friday, February 2, 2018, beginning at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 o'clock in the chapel. Pastor Brancie Stephens will officiate. Interment with masonic rites accorded by Aiken Masonic Lodge #156, AFM, will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.

Butch loved children and believed that they should always be taken care of. Therefore, the family has asked that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children. (www.shrinershospitals.org)
