Georgia M. Shaw
NEW ELLENTON - Georgia M. Shaw, age 87, entered into rest peacefully Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living Center.
Mrs. Shaw was born October 13, 1930 in Emanuel Co., GA to the late George and Edna McNeely. She had made New Ellenton, SC her home since 1960, having previously lived in Batrow, GA. She was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy H. Hutchins in 1960; her second husband, Daniel A. Shaw in 1984; a daughter, Andrea Elizabeth Shaw; and a sister, Frances Jones.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Shaw (Gloria) and Anthony Shaw, all of New Ellenton, SC; four grandchildren, Heather Shaw, Brittani Oellerich, Kaitlyn Shaw, and Rebekah Shaw; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Billy McNeely (Bobbie).
Friends may call this Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Foreman Memorial Baptist Church with The Revs. Matthew McNeely and Matt McAlister officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Robert Oellerich, Craig McNeely, Richard McNeely, Steve Bailey, Brad Stapleton, and James Stapleton.
