George Edward Hansen
Lake Arrowhead, CA - George Edward Hansen of Lake Arrowhead, CA, the son of Frank Olaf Hansen and Adell Van Zandt Hansen, died suddenly on April 30, 2021 in Redlands, CA. George was 78 years old.
George was a man of many interests and dearly enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. He was an avid, loving, family golfer, and greatly appreciated the outings. George was an expert skier (June Mtn. ski patrol), long board surfer (Killer Dana), a ship historian and modeler, and collector of special historical artifacts including Winchester rifles and western figures. George was a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, CA in Architectural Design, had many civic positions during his career, and was one of the youngest City Planners in California. George was also an avid Boy Scout (Eagle, Order of the Arrow) Scout Master, and Scout Council member.
George was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Chris Hansen (Conchita), and brother-in-law Jim Birdsall. Survivors include his beloved sister, Corlin Birdsall (San Juan Capistrano), his brother Jerry Hansen (Nancy) of Aiken, SC, sister-in-law Conchita Hansen of San Diego, his companion, Kaaren Nowlin (Lake Arrowhead), stepsons, a niece and nephews.
