George Griffin Obituary

George Allen Griffin, Sr.
Augusta, GA - George Allen "Gus" Griffin, Sr., 90, of Augusta, GA, passed away on November 7, 2021 at Doctor's Hospital.
Mr. Griffin was born in Bowman, SC to the late Gary Allen Griffin and Polly Myers Griffin.
He was married to Annette Medlin from 1954-1974 and they had four children.
Mr. Griffin worked as an Engineering Technician at Savannah River Plant and retired after 40 years. He served in the SC National Guard and retired as a Captain.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed volunteering with SC Waterfowl Association and Ducks Unlimited.
Gus will be lovingly remembered by his family, Rene, Allen (Debbie), Bryan and Brent (Darla); his 10 grandchildren; and his 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Historic George Funeral Home with Rev. K. Scott Ayers officiating.
Memorials may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, www.billygraham.org, or South Carolina Waterfowl Association, 9833 Old River Rd, Pinewood, SC 29125, scwa.org.
