George Counts Obituary

What an awful and terribly sad week. We were all heartbroken for the loss of George, his son and daughter in law. I will never forget forget them. God rest their sweet souls. Billie

February 2021. I retired from USC Aiken in January. I will never forget this family as long as I live. I was thinking about George not too long ago and this reminder from Legacy came up. I sit here in tears And just want you to know he will never be forgotten. Nor your wonderful family.

I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of George and his son and daughter-in-law. George was a member of the USC Aiken Pacer Club and I had the pleasure of seeing him at all of our basketball games. My deepest and heartbreaking sympathy to his family and friends on behalf of the USC Aiken Athletic Department. We became good friends over the past eight years and I cannot tell you how sad I am. He was such a good and gentle soul.

I am so sorry for the family loss. A truly family men, and a outstanding individual. He'll be missed even thought it's been a while I worked on site George had always that great smile that make everybody comfortable. Prayers for strength and peace in the family. Love, Cristina Flores

Worked for George many years ago. He was a great supervisor, always had a smile on his face. Always looked forward to seeing him at the 25 year banquet. You will be deeply missed.

Mike was one of the most interesting people I have ever worked with. I am also a pilot and we had a lot to talk about. He was a great man and a fine RP inspector and First Line Manager. He will be sorely missed. May God bring comfort to his family in this tragic loss.

Deepest condolences to all who truly knew him. He treated me like another son for years at the Savannah River Site. He will live on in my memories.

My heart is heavy for the Counts family. Mike and I shared a conversation and a hug within the last month. He and his dad were like family to me and I pray that God will continue to comfort the family and other friends.

George was my HP Manager during the "restart years". Such a great guy, he will be greatly missed.

I am so sad to hear of George's death. He was my HP Supervisor many years ago and I pray that God will comfort the hearts of the loved ones.

George was the greatest human being and supervisor. He kept me sane many a day at "The Bomb Plant." He will be greatly missed.

George was my first Rad Con Supervisor at SRS. He got 3 brand new inspectors in 1987, Cristie Shuford, Dyan Parler, and myself. He called us "His Angels". God definitely got "Our Angel". Prayers for Lois and the family.
