Genelle Eadie
Aiken, SC - Genelle Flowers Eadie, born March 31,1938, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
A lifelong South Carolinian, Genelle lived a life defined by devotion, resilience, and unwavering care for those she loved. As the wife of a serviceman, she embraced the life of a military family, supporting her husband through assignments across the United States and abroad, building a home and sense of stability wherever they were called.
Genelle was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eadie, who passed in 1994,
and her son, Harold Eadie Jr. who required 24-hour care throughout much of his life and passed on March 21, 2023 at the age of 64. The extraordinary care he received
and the love Genelle poured into him allowed him to live far longer than doctors ever
expected. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Jerry, Neil, and Jean.
Genelle is survived by her brother, Ronald Flowers who remained close throughout her life.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, April 13th beginning at 2 o'clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be at 3 o'clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Will Altman officiating. Interment will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a favorite charity.
