June passed away at home peacefully. June was born in Collinsville Oklahoma, she was one of seven children. She moved to California as a young woman, where she met her husband Meade McClure in Pt Richmond, Ca. Meade and June married in 1946 and started a family with two sons. She was predeceased by her husband Meade in July of 1991.
She was active in Richmond till late, she was a member of many organizations: Richmond Elks, Moose Club, Eagles Lodge, Sportsman Club. She attended Contra Costa College where she received a AA Degree. She served on the Board of Contra Costa College. June was a successful business owner of The El Cerrito Beauty Salon where she became connected with many friends. June enjoyed games of chance and was quite lucky. Her true joy was her family. She is survived by her two sons; Meade McClure (Dee) of Plano, TX. Jack McClure (LuCinda) of San Rafael, Ca., two brothers Max Gibson and David Skinner, two grandchildren Taylor McClure of Tucson AZ and JR McClure of Richmond, Ca., long time companion Dick Sweeza of Richmond, Ca.
She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As of now there is no memorial planned here in Richmond. There will be a family service in Tescott,KS.
